HCSO Detectives Work to Identify Suspects Obtaining Gift Cards Fraudulently

On May 15, 2020 at 3:46 pm, 2 white females fraudulently acquired 2 $500 gift cards at the 7-Eleven located at 11348 US Highway 301 S., Riverview.  Shortly thereafter, the suspects attempted to use the cards at the Walmart in Wimauma, but the transaction was denied.  Just a few minutes later, 2 males successfully used the cards at the Publix in Sun City Center to purchase 6 more gift cards.  The males fled in a silver minivan, possibly a Dodge.

HCSO Detectives Search for Suspect Who Injured Two People in Shooting

On May 21, 2020 at 7:35 pm, Javius Manuel Leon Vazquez, Hispanic male, 18 yoa, engaged in a verbal dispute with a group of people at the Wawa located at 11323 Boyette Road in Riverview.  The suspect fired one shot from a handgun at a victim while he was inside a black Nissan Altima.  The victim was standing in the parking area and was struck in the leg.  The same bullet, or a fragment of it, struck a second person who was standing behind him.

HCSO Detectives Investigate Early Morning Robbery

On April 30, 2020 at 4:02 am, a white male requested a can of Skoal Peach tobacco from the clerk at the Circle K located at 11320 Bloomingdale Avenue in Riverview.  As she turned away to complete the sale, the male produced a small revolver and demanded the cash in the register.  The cash was placed in a plastic bag and the suspect fled the store on foot in a westbound direction.  The suspect is described as being 25-40 yoa, 5'10"-6', thin to medium build and last seen wearing a black ECKO sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes and an Army hat.

TPD Detectives Work to ID Suspect Who Stole Enclosed Trailer

On April 21, 2020 at approx. 4:00 am, an unknown male used a dark colored Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, 2019-2020 model with 4-doors, to steal a 12' enclosed 2019 Diamond/Rio trailer bearing FL Tag LCUE23 from Architectural Product Sales located at 1402 N. 25th St., Tampa.  The suspect vehicle has chrome front and rear bumpers, "RAM" on the front bumper, a Dodge Ram logo on the rear bumper which is equipped with the kick-out step assist device.  The suspect is described as having olive skin with sleeve tattoos on both arms.

On April 26, 2020, a white male, 42 yoa, was discovered deceased with upper body trauma in the area of 105 Sycamore Lane in Tampa.  Witnesses advised seeing two dark-skinned individuals running from the area the night prior (April 25, 2020) after gunshots were heard.

On March 25, 2020 at 11:44 a.m., an unknown male entered the Speedway Gas station located at 6332 Dale Mabry Hwy. N., Tampa, with his face covered.  The suspect jumped the sales counter and demanded money from the employee behind the counter.  The suspect brandished a hand gun, pointing it at the employee while making threats.  The suspect fled the store with cash on foot in a northbound direction.
 
The suspect is described as a black or dark skinned Hispanic male, clean shaven, mid 20's and wearing black Adidas logo t-shirt, black pants, black shoes, green knit style hat and purple or blue gloves.

Reward Offered for Information in Serial Bank Robbery Investigation

Area law enforcement create a multi-agency task force comprised of FBI, ATF, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater Police, Pinellas Park Police and FDLE to identify bank robbery suspect.  Information is being sought from the public to help identify the unknown suspect who is believed to be responsible for several bank robberies in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. 
 
During each of the robberies, the suspect passed a note to the teller while displaying a black, semi-automatic handgun.  The bank robberies occurred at:
 
October 22, 2018 - Mid-Florida Credit Union, 825 Brandon Blvd. W., Brandon
February 22, 2019 - Mid-Florida Credit Union, 3202 Waters Av. W., Tampa
June 19, 2019 - Mid-Florida Credit Union, 4300 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park
August 27, 2019 - Suncoast Credit Union, 3234 Miller Rd. S., Valrico
October 9, 2019 - Mid-Florida Credit Union, 29383 Highway 19 N., Clearwater

Investigators believe the same suspect might of also committed two carjackings at Betty's Coin Laundry in St. Petersburg.

The same suspect is believed to be responsible for the robbery and shooting of a Brink's armored car driver and Good Samaritan outside GTE Credit Union at 101 Bloomingdale Av E., Brandon on December 6, 2019.
 
Witnesses have described the suspect as a black male, approx. 30-40 yoa, 5'10" to 6', slender build, gold teeth, black hair and was seen wearing a black and gray dreadlocks wig.

HCSO Detectives Investigate Explosion of Drive-Up ATM
January 13, 2020

STATUS: OPEN
Between the evening of January 11, 2020 and the early morning hours of January 12, 2020, unknown suspect(s) utilized an unknown type of destructive device to gain access to the interior of an ATM that was located in the drive-thru of the Regions Bank located at 3522 Bell Shoals Road in Valrico.  Prior to the explosion, the lens to the exterior cameras were sprayed with black paint.  
 
Investigators believe that this incident may be related to 3 other similar incidents that occurred in the last few months, however, not all incidents resulted in an explosion.  On December 8, 2019, at 2:46 a.m., a male suspect spray painted the camera lens and tampered with the drive-thru ATM at the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank located at 11650 Countryway Boulevard.  The other similar incidents occurred at the Regions Bank, 3522 Bell Shoals Road, on July 7, 2019 and on September 5, 2019.

Pasco Detectives Identify One of Five Armed Burglary Suspects
December 31, 2019

STATUS: OPEN
On September 7, 2019 at approx. 4:33 a.m., four suspects armed with firearms, entered the victim’s residence on Villa Capri Circle in Odessa.  A fifth suspect was observed outside the apartment. The suspects took a safe which contained a large amount of cash and jewelry. They also removed an Xbox One, multiple watches and a .45 caliber Smith & Wesson firearm. It is possible that the suspects reside in Hillsborough County.

Detectives have identified the third suspect seen on surveillance video entering the residence as Rishal Shrestha, 06/19/2000.  An arrest warrant for Armed Residential Burglary has been obtained for Shrestha.
