On July 19, 2018 at 2:15 a.m., an unknown male and female took a Chrysler convertible from the parking lot of the YMCA located at 4411 Himes Avenue North in Tampa. The suspects were captured on surveillance cameras. The white male is described as having a thin build, facial hair and was not wearing a shirt. The black or Hispanic female appears to be of a larger build, was wearing glasses and a hat. Detectives believe the suspects might be responsible for attempting to steal other vehicles in the area during the same time frame.

TPD Detectives Work to ID Suspect Who Stole Hair Dryer

On July 23, 2018 an unknown subject entered Sephora within the International Mall located at 2223 West Shore Boulevard North and selected a Dyson hair dryer. The subject left the store without paying for the item which is valued at $399. The suspect was captured on store surveillance cameras and is described as a white male, approximately 40 yoa, 5'11", 220 lbs. and short hair.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Information on Suspects Responsible for Several Vehicle Burglaries

Between July 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. and July 11, 2018 at 4:00 a.m., 3 unknown males were captured on video breaking into vehicles on Jim Court in Riverview. Several unlocked vehicles were entered by the suspects resulting in 2 firearms being taken. Detectives believe these suspects could also be responsible for other burglaries in the area. The suspects are believed to be white or Hispanic males ranging in age from 16-20 years. The suspects wear hooded sweatshirts and gloves and often travel by bicycle.

On July 11, 2018 at 9:25 p.m., at the Town N Country Park located at 7002 Hanna Avenue West in Tampa, several males were involved in a shooting. The unknown male subjects fired several rounds at each other inside the park. Some of the subjects were captured on nearby surveillance cameras.

HC Fire Marshal's Office Ask for Information from the Public in Recent String of Fires

Since July 1, 2018, four fires have occurred within The Enclave at Channing Park subdivision located in the Fish Hawk Ranch area of Lithia. Investigators believe that a pattern of fires have evolved due to the close proximity and time frame of the fires. The first fire was a home under construction at 17639 Bright Wheat Drive. The unknown suspect(s) then set a dumpster containing construction materials on fire on July 8, 2018. The next fire occurred on July 17, 2018 to a home under construction at 17636 Bright Wheat Drive. Two days later, on July 19, 2018 at approximately 6:04 a.m., the suspect(s) set a fire within the home under construction at 17627 Buckingham Garden Drive. Investigators believe the same person(s) may be responsible as all four fires were ignited by similar means. The total estimated damage is $25,000.

On July 14, 2018 at 3:57 a.m., at 6516 King Palm Way in Apollo Beach, two unknown white males burglarized a Chevrolet pickup truck through an unlocked door. The suspects walked to 6518 King Palm Way and took a 2016 Acura MDX SUV, white in color, which was later recovered in St. Petersburg. Detectives believe the suspects could be responsible for up to 30 vehicle burglaries in the area. Surveillance video captured a suspect at the door to a vehicle. The suspect is described as a white male, 14-16 yoa, thin build, wearing a striped shirt and carrying a light-colored backpack. The second suspect is a white male, thin build, wearing a hoodie and carrying a backpack.

On July 1, 2018 at 12:41 a.m., an alarm was triggered at Famous Footwear located at 213 Alexander Street West in Plant City. Two unknown suspects had smashed the front window in order to enter the store. While inside, the suspects took shoes and socks, with an estimated value at several hundred dollars. The suspects utilized bicycles to travel to and from the business. The suspects can be seen wearing dark clothing and black hooded jackets. Detectives believe the suspects could be the same persons responsible for recent burglaries at cell phone stores in the Plant City area.

On June 30, 2018 at 8:45 p.m., the victim was parked at a gas pump at the 7-Eleven located at 13320 Highway 301 South in Riverview. The victim had met with the suspect in an attempt to purchase multiple iPhones. The suspect robbed the victim of his cash while inside the victim's vehicle. The suspect entered a black compact SUV, possibly a Nissan Rogue, then fled the area. The suspect is described as a black male, 5'09"-5'11", 240-250 lbs., short dreadlocks and last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black pants. The suspect was armed with a Glock 9mm semi-auto firearm.

On June 15, 2018 at 3:52 a.m., two white males entered the EZ Wash Laundromat located at 5563 78th Street S., utilized a key to open the coin machines and took approximately $800 in cash and coins. The theft was interrupted by an audible alarm from a machine. The suspects are both 20-30 yoa, have short dark hair. Suspect 1 has facial hair under his chin and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray ball capm white plaid shorts, black socks and Adidas shoes. Suspect 2 was wearing a black zip-up sweatshirt, dark ball cap, gray shorts, black socks and gray shoes. The suspects were caught on surveillance video fleeing in a light color Honda Accord, 5th generation 1994-1997 model sedan with a sunroof.

On June 28, 2018 at 2:24 a.m., a black male entered the 7-Eleven located at 1020 Kings Avenue South in Brandon, implied he had a handgun and demanded money from the cash registers. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with the cash. The suspect is described as being 30-40 yoa, 5'09"-5'11", 200-230 lbs., 4-5" goatee and last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with light blue drawstrings, blue dress pants and brown loafer shoes.
