Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from non-life threating gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by Cincinnati Fire, was taken into surgery and is listed in stable condition. A second male victim was located in the rear of a vehicle. Cincinnati Fire attempted life saving measures and determined the second victim to be deceased. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE August 4, 2024 On August 4, 2024, at approximately 7:10 AM, District ONE officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Clifton Avenue for a ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival, officers located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound in a vehicle that crashed into a telephone pole. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The victim was pronounced deceased upon arrival. The victim has been identified as Andrew Boner, a male, 39 years of age.

Yisrael, 22, was shot and killed in Evanston on July 21, 2019. His twin sister found him in front of his mother’s home on Durrell Avenue near Merrimac Street at around 4:30 a.m. “We had just come home from a wedding,” his mom, Nicole Lee, said. “He had participated in a wedding. He went home, changed clothes and said he was leaving to go visit a friend.” Lee said she later woke up hearing gunshots. “I didn’t even think it was Benayah,” Lee said. “When I heard the gunshots, that didn’t even cross my mind.” Yisrael was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. He died during surgery. Lee said he was still figuring out what he wanted to do with his future. She said he had just passed his plumber’s test. “If you didn’t know him, you would think he was shy,” Lee said. “But those who knew him knew he was goofy and would crack jokes and stuff.” Lee said the lack of tips in her son’s case has kept her from getting closure for five years. “Because somebody knows something and somebody’s not saying something,” Lee said. Lee said she’s asked people with information to come forward because she’s afraid the shooter has either shot someone before or is capable of doing it again. “We don’t want these kind of people on our streets,” Lee said. “That they think it’s OK to go murder people. So yes, I want them to come forward. University Avenue for a repot of four people shot. Upon arrival officers encountered four individuals with gunshot wounds. After the scene was stabilized, The Cincinnati Fire Department responded, assessed the victims and began life saving measures. Shawn McDaniel Jr, male 22, was transported to The University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he also succumbed to his injuries. Shawn McDaniel, male 45, the father of Shawn McDaniel Jr. was pronounced deceased on scene. Laurenz Nixon, male 21, was also transported to The University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The fourth victim is transported to The University of Cincinnati Medical Center and is in serious but stable condition. Fire Department personnel determined the child was deceased at the scene. The child is identified as Kymari Walker, a male 1 year of age. On April 4, 2024, The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with assistance from the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Kymani Walker, a male 21 years of age, on an Involuntary Manslaughter warrant for the death of Kymari Walker. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE March 22, 2024 On November 05, 2023, District Three officers responded to the report of a dismembered body found in 1600 block of Baltimore Avenue. Upon arrival, responding officers located a body of an unidentified female who was the victim of a homicide. With the assistance of the Hamilton County Coroner’s office and the Ohio Bureau of Investigation the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit was able to identify the victim as Makaila Luckey, female 25 years of age. Ms. Luckey was known to frequent the Lockland area and the Downtown West End area. The Cincinnati Police Department is looking for any information on Ms. Luckey’s whereabouts in the last weeks of October and first week of November 2023, and any associates of Ms. Luckey.
