Case Information: SOUTH SECOND STREET HOMICIDE Mikina Riley, a 18-year-old student at Miami High School, was shot and killed on August 27th. Hamilton, Ohio On Friday, August 27, 2021, at approximately 12:40am, Hamilton police officers responded to a shooting at 1215 South Second Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered one person deceased and two other victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The two victims were transported to area hospitals. Initial Indications are that the shooting was a targeted act and not random in nature. Responding officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel transported the victim to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as Jearid Irvin, a male 48 years of age. The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Youth Services Section Officers and District Five Officers, arrested Peter Gamble, a male 31 years of age, for causing the death of Mr. Irvin. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE December 29, 2021 On December 25, 2021, at approximately 11:15 am, Cincinnati Police received a 911 call to 400 West 9th Street reference a person shot. District One Officers along with the Cincinnati Fire Department responded and located a female suffering from a gunshot wound. Fire personnel transported the victim to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The victim has been identified as Desire Coston, a female 16 years of age. On December 28, 2021, Ms. Coston succumbed to her injuries at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. On December 29, 2021, the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit charged Mr. Rico Pryor, a male 17 years of age, with murder for the death of Ms. Coston. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE December 29, 2021 On July 30, 2019, at 2:00 AM, District Two officers responded to 1808 Clarion Avenue for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, District Two officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where the victim succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Charles Leonard, 34 years of age. On December 29, 2021, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, Ebriele Terry, 24 years of age, was arrested on a Murder Warrant for causing the death of Mr. Leonard.

Upon arrival, responding officers located the male infant unresponsive. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded and transported the infant to Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center. The infant is not being identified at this time. On December 27, 2021, infant succumbed to his injuries at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center. Cincinnati Police’s Homicide Unit charged Ms. Shakayla Sams, 19 years of age and Donte Farrier, 19 years of age, with Murder, for causing the infant’s death. A photo of the victim is not available.

Case Information: JACK GRUBBS ARRESTED CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE December 23, 2021 On December 21, 2021, at approximately 6:30 PM, District Three officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 4300 block of Cappel Drive. Upon arrival, responding officers located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded and determined the victim to be deceased. The victim was identified as Tyler Lee, a male 18 years of age. A photo of the victim is not available. On December 23, 2021, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, Jack Grubbs was arrested on a Murder Warrant for causing the death of Mr. Lee. Mr. Grubbs will remain in the care and custody of the Kenton County Jail, pending extradition.

A short time later an additional victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by private conveyance with non-life-threatening injuries. Upon arrival, District Two officers located human skeletal remains within wooded area. Following further examination by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, the remains were identified as Robert W. Myatt, a male, 56 years of age. The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office also determine Mr. Myatt death was the result of homicidal violence.
