Man Burglarizes Central El Paso Convenience Store
EL PASO, TEXAS – Security cameras recorded a man who burglarized a Seven-Eleven Store in Central El Paso. Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help to identify this burglar through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” On the early morning of Wednesday, October 2, at 3:30 A.M., a man walked into the “Seven-Eleven” store located at 2000 Piedras. The suspect jumped the counter to an area open only to employees and burglarized the counter area by taking several “Black and Mild” cigar packages and several “Newport” cigarette packages. The suspect went to the beverage coolers and stole a 32-ounce bottle of Carta Blanca beer, and fled the scene. The description of the man is a Hispanic male, in his late teens or early 20’s, medium complexion, dark short hair with a fade on the sides and back. On the day of the burglary, he was wearing a white tank top with the name, “biggie” printed on the front, dark athletic pants with a white line on the side and dark-colored athletic shoes. Man is Killed By Driver Who Fled The Scene
EL PASO COUNTY, TEXAS – A 19-year old solider stationed at Fort Bliss, was killed after being struck by multiple vehicles on I-10 East near Horizon Blvd. The initial vehicle that struck the man fled the scene. Investigators from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in finding the initial driver who fled, through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” On the evening of Saturday, October 5th, at approximately 7:17 P.M., 19-year-old, Gage Thornton was on I-10 near mile marker 38 (just east of Horizon Blvd.). The initial vehicle that struck Thornton did not remain at the scene and was last seen eastbound on I-10. Witnesses described the vehicle as a dark colred S.U.V. or mini van. The vehicle that fled the scene is expected to have front end damage. Female Teen Shot By Man At Intersection
EL PASO, TEXAS – A man shoots at a car at an intersection and seriously wounds a female teen. Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking your help to identify the man responsible for this shooting through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” On the night of Sunday, September 22nd, at 11:10 P.M., two teens and a twenty-year-old were driving in a white Audi car, northbound on George Dieter. The three came to a stop at the intersection of Pebble Hills due to a traffic signal. At the intersection, the driver of a truck on the turning lane began to exchange words with the teen driver. The driver of the truck pulled out a handgun and the teen driver entered the intersection to flee from the man. As the three drove away, the suspect fired the handgun multiple times at the car. As a result, a 15-year old female who was sitting in the backseat was critically injured. The shooter was described as a Hispanic male, average height, with short hair and a full beard. He was wearing a gray baseball cap and a yellow tee-shirt. The suspect’s vehicle was a newer model truck or S.U.V. that appears to be “lifted”. The suspect fled westbound on Pebble Hills. A Couple Is Caught On Camera Using A Stolen Credit Card
EL PASO, TEXAS – A couple used stolen credit cards taken in a car burglary in Central El Paso. Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying these suspects through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” The burglary took place between the night of Monday, July 8th, and the early morning of Tuesday, July 9th. The vehicle burglarized was a 2012 Mercedes-Benz, that was parked at the “Sedona Peak” apartment complex at 1901 Brown. At 5:30 a.m., a credit card stolen from the car was used at the “Whataburger” restaurant located at 5600 Montana. The credit card was also used at the Circle K store located at 1915 Montana. The surveillance video of the restaurant recorded a light-colored Nissan Versa Hatchback with a Casa Nissan tag in the front. The suspect driving is described as a Hispanic male, in his 20’s with a piercing in his left ear. There was also a female in her 20’s sitting in the back seat. Purse Snatcher Drags Woman With A Car
EL PASO, TEXAS – A woman’s purse is stolen and the victim dragged by the suspect’s car at an East El Paso mall parking lot. Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this purse snatcher through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” On Saturday, July 13th, 2019, at 9:45 p.m., a woman was talking with a friend at “Cielo Vista Mall” at 8401 Gateway West. The victim was outside of her car near the Dillard’s North and had placed her purse on the roof of her car. Moments later, a man grabbed the purse and ran towards a white car. The woman ran after the suspect and grabbed part of the purse. The man managed to enter his car and drive off and dragged the victim. The suspect then went to the McDonald’s Restaurant located at 7110 Gateway and left the purse in the parking lot. The suspect used the drive-through of the restaurant and was captured on video. The man is described as having a light complexion, being 5’7” in height, and having a thin build. He was wearing a light-colored hat and a blue baggy shirt. The white vehicle is believed to be between 2001 to 2005, Lexus IS300. Man Burglarizes A Mission Valley Business
EL PASO, TEXAS – A man kicks in the glass door to a Mission Valley business and steals several headphones. Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking for help from the community to identify this burglar through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” On the early morning hours of Sunday, July 7th, 2019, at 12:07 a.m., a man kicked in the glass door at the “Family Dollar” store located at 7128 Alameda. The man was recorded by security cameras grabbing a plastic bin and then placing approximately 20 headphones into the bin. The man walked out of the store and fled the scene. The suspect, in this case, is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 5’09” in height, 230lbs., dark hair, and a dark mustache. He was wearing a yellow shirt with a square pattern, tan pants, and light-colored cowboy boots. Thieves Recorded Using Duplicated Card
EL PASO, TEXAS – Two men used duplicated cards at a Mission Valley business to steal more than a thousand dollars from two victims. Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking for help from the community in identifying these thieves through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” On the early morning hours of Sunday, June 23rd, 2019, the men were recorded on security video at “Speaking Rock” located at 122 S. Old Pueblo Road. At approximately 1 a.m., the two men used an A.T.M. at the business and stole a total of $1,200 from both victims. The men both appear to be Hispanic Males in their 40’s. One of the men was wearing eyeglasses at one point. Detectives are certain someone will recognize the thieves who were captured on video. EL PASO, TEXAS – A couple scams a business on the Westside of El Paso out of $1,500 dollars in prepaid cards. Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying these thieves through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” The couple walked into the “Walgreen’s” store located at 890 N. Resler. The female approached the cashier and convinced the employee that she worked at a different “Walgreen’s” location and needed some prepaid cards that would be paid out of her employee account. As a result, the suspects managed to take three Prepaid Cards totaling $1,500 dollars. The same couple attempted a similar scam at two other locations but were unsuccessful. The couple is described as a Black, in their late 30’s or early 40’s, both with a heavy or large build. The suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored Dodge Charger. A Massage Parlor Is Held Up Twice In Less Than One Year
EL PASO, TEXAS – A massage parlor on the Westside of El Paso is held up at gunpoint for the second time in seven months. Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying this armed robber, through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.”
The two armed robberies happened at the “Relaxation Massage” located at 5864 N. Mesa. The latest hold up took place on Thursday, June 6th, 2019, at 9:45 p.m. In this case, the suspect knocked on the door, and an employee partially opened the door to let the man know the business had just closed. The suspect forced his way inside pushing the employee to the ground and threatening the woman with a handgun. The suspect robbed the employee of her wallet and fled the scene. Late last year on Monday, November 12th, 2018, at 11:03 p.m., the same suspect walked into the business pointing a handgun and demanding money from the business. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his 30’s, approximately 6’ feet in height, 250lbs., with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. Car Burglars Steal Handgun And Credit Cards
EL PASO, TEXAS – A vehicle is burglarized, where a weapon and credit cards were stolen in Northeast El Paso. Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.”
Between the afternoon of Thursday, May 23rd and early morning hours of Friday, May 24th a vehicle was burglarized at the 5100 block of Bastille. The suspects entered the car, a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox and began to ransack the vehicle. The suspects took a wallet containing cash, credit cards, and a handgun. Three suspects were captured on video using the stolen credit cards at the Walmart at 4530 Woodrow Bean at 4:14 a.m. on Friday, May 24th. Investigators believe the suspects on the video are responsible for the burglary. Woman Seriously Hurt By Hit And Run Driver
EL PASO, TEXAS – A woman is seriously hurt in a hit and run crash in east El Paso. Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver involved through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” On the early morning of Friday, May 10th, 2019, at 3:34 a.m., a woman driving a white, 1988, Nissan Sentra. The driver slowed down and came to a stop on Loop 375 North and Bob Hope. During that time the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck struck the Nissan from behind. The woman driving the Nissan received serious life-threatening injuries in the crash. The driver of the pickup truck momentarily stopped and got out, however, after a few moments, he fled the scene. A witness at the scene was able to take a photo of the truck and of the suspect involved. Investigators are certain that someone knows who the driver of this truck is. The truck is a silver-colored, 2005 to 2008 Ford F-150 pickup. Woman Robbed At Central El Paso Neighborhood
EL PASO, TEXAS – A woman is robbed of her car and cell phone at knife point in Central El Paso neighborhood. Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in finding this violent robber through, the “Crime of The Week.” On the early morning of Monday, May 20th 2019, at 3:50a.m., the victim was leaving a gathering in the 1200 block of Marr St. As the victim approached her vehicle a man threatened her with a knife and demanded the keys to her car and her cellular phone. The suspect fled the scene with the victim’s car southbound on Marr St. towards Montana. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, light complexion, tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark colored mask, a dark sweatshirt, and black pants. The vehicle is a gray, 4-door, 2019 Ford Fiesta, with Texas License plates KTP4736. Mission Valley Store Held Up By Two Men
EL PASO, TEXAS – A Misson Valley convenience store is held up at knifepoint. The two suspects were captured on video and Detectives from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying these robbers through, the “Crime of The Week.” On the late night of Wednesday, May 8th, 2019, at 11:08 p.m., two men walked into the Super Stop Store located at 800 N. Carolina. One of the men went behind the counter while the store clerk was charging a customer. The suspect threatened the clerk with a knife and demanded money from the business. During this time the 2nd suspect stood by the door acting as a lookout. The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The men are believed to have fled the scene in a truck that was parked at the neighboring apartment complex. The same suspects are also believed to be involved in another similar robbery at the same store on January 18th, 2019. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, late 30’s early 40’s, 5’3”, heavy set, and appeared to have a tattoo in the neck area. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, thin, and approximately 5’6”. Man Killed After Being Struck By Multiple Vehicles
EL PASO, TEXAS – A 72 year old man is killed after being struck by multiple vehicles in east El Paso. Only two vehicles remained at the scene and the other fled. Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are for the public’s help in finding the drivers who fled through, the “Crime of The Week.” On the early morning of Saturday, February 9th 2019, at 4:41a.m., 72-year old, Alberto Escoto was attempting to cross the 9300 block of Montana. The man was not at a crosswalk or a controlled intersection. Escoto was struck by two vehicles that stopped and called for help. During that time, several more vehicles struck Escoto, but did not remain in the scene. Investigators are asking for any assistance on finding the other drivers involved in this deadly pedestrian crash that failed to remain at the scene. Two Stores Are Held Up At Knife Point
EL PASO, TEXAS – Two stores are held up at knife point on Dyer and Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man responsible for these armed robberies through, the “Crime of The Week.” On the early morning of Monday, April 22nd 2019, at 1:41a.m., a man walked in to the “Seven-Eleven” store located at 4413 Dyer. The man was holding a knife, threatened the store, clerk and demanded money from the business. The suspect also demanded cigarettes and took 4-packs of Marlboro menthol smooth cigarettes. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and 4 packs of cigarettes. The very next day, on Tuesday, April 23rd at 2:16a.m., the same suspect entered the Circle K Store located at 3900 Dyer. In a similar fashion the man threatened the employee with knife, demanded money and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. In both cases the suspect was last seen heading southbound on Dyer. A Central El Paso Store Burglarized
EL PASO, TEXAS – A man burglaries a Central El Paso business stealing a large number of cigarettes. Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying this burglar, through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of The Week.” On the night of Sunday, January 6th 2019, at 3:30a.m., a man approached the “Dollar General” store located at 3028 Pershing Dr. The suspect took a large rock and broke the bottom half of one of the front glass doors. The suspect made his way inside of the business to the cabinet where the cigarettes are kept and took approximately 50 packs of cigarettes of various brands, with a total value of more than $300.00 dollars. The suspect is described as a Black male, in his middle 20’s to late 30’s, 5’7” to 5’11” in height. The suspect was wearing a black sweat shirt, blue jeans, and white athletic shoes. A Northeast Store Is Held Up At Gunpoint
EL PASO, TEXAS – A northeast El Paso business is held up at gunpoint and investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in finding the men involved in this armed robbery, through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of The Week.” On the night of Sunday, December 30th just before midnight, two men walked up to the “Beers & Babes” store located at 8440 Dyer. One of the men walked in to the business, threatened the store clerk with a handgun and demanded money. The man also demanded two packs of “Newport” brand cigarettes. The man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and the two packs of cigarettes. According to witnesses the suspect fled the scene running towards Hercules. The second suspect stayed outside and acted as a look out. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 18 to 25 years of age, approximately 5’7”, and was wearing a black hooded jacket with two thin white lines, a black bandana covering face, dark pants, red tennis shoes, and a red backpack. The second man is also described as Hispanic, with a height of approximately 5’7” and believed to be in his late teens or early 20’s, and had a lightly trimmed mustache with sideburns. He was wearing a hooded, two-tone colored jacket with a light color on the shoulders, dark jeans with the legs rolled up and white tennis shoes. A Socorro Texas Business Is Held Up At Gunpoint
SOCORRO, TEXAS – A business in Socorro, Texas is held up at gunpoint and Detectives from the Socorro Police Department are asking for your help in finding this violent robber, through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of The Week.” On the night of Saturday December 19th just before 8p.m., a man walked into the “Abuelita’s Grocery Store” located at 11536 Socorro Rd., in Socorro Texas. The man walked in and confronted two employees working at the business. The man threatened the employees with a handgun and demanded money from the business. The suspect struck a 73-year old employee on the head with an unknown object and then pushed him to the floor. The suspect fired one shot from the handgun towards a cooler, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8” in height with a stocky build, and had a goatee. The man wearing a grey hooded sweater, grey sweat pants, and black “Nike” brand running shoes, with a white “swoosh” symbol. Witnesses saw the suspect heading southbound on Madrigal Road. Leads Sought On Fatal Hit And Run of A Child
EL PASO, TEXAS – A 12-year old child was killed at the hands of a hit and run driver almost one year ago. Investigators from the El Paso Police Department are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver involved in this death, through the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of The Week.”
Between the late night of Sunday, February 4th and the early morning of Monday, February 5th, 2018, 12-year old, Kianna Johnson, who suffered from Autism, walked out of her home. At approximately 1:30a.m., the 12-year old child was in the area of the Walmart on the 5600 block of Dyer. Investigators believe that Kianna Johnson attempted to cross Dyer from the east curb to the west curb. As she crossed a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Dyer struck her and fled the scene. Kianna Johnson died at the scene from her injuries. It is believed that a vehicle captured on surveillance video could be the vehicle involved. The vehicle appears to be a dark colored cargo van. Anyone with any information on the identity of the driver involved in the crash or the location of the vehicle is urged to immediately call Crime Stoppers of El Paso immediately at 566-8477(TIPS), or on-line at www.crimestoppersofelpaso.org.
