The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Business Robbery and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
Montgomery County Investigators release video and photos of a subject wanted for Robbery. Pictured suspect entered the store and locked the front door on April 30, 2022, at approximately 5:02 AM. He brandished a black pistol and demanded money from the tills and clerks. Clerks were instructed to go into a back room and were locked inside.
The suspect was described as a possible black male, 5’10 to 6’0” ft in height, slim build, wearing a green hooded windbreaker pullover, black pants, black mask, white tennis shoes, and one white knit glove with a black rubber dipped palm on his right hand.
The suspect exited out of the front door and walked to an adjacent property behind the store, where an unknown make/model vehicle was parked and remained running during the robbery.

The family of DeLange Tawone Harris continue their search for answers. Harris was murdered in May 2011.
Today, May 3, 2022, marks eleven years since DeLange Harris was taken from his family and friends. This case is on-going and has not nor will it ever be forgotten. Sheriff Mears has worked diligently with his investigators to work new leads, gather new evidence and solicit the FBI for assistance in bringing this case to a close with the person(s) responsible for his untimely death.
Sheriff Mears is pleading with the public to come forward with any and all information if they know something. The smallest bit of information may be the piece to the puzzle that solves this case. Help us give this family closure and justice. DeLange Harris was a special part to his family, friends and community.

Crenshaw County Sheriff Mickey Powell has joined with Central Alabama CrimeStoppers in requesting assistance from the public. CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 Reward to be paid within 30 days of an arrests. Another $20,000 Reward will be paid after the conviction of the offender(s).
Recently CrimeStoppers and Sheriff Powell attended the yearly vigil held by the Harris family. “The vigil is a good thing,” John F. Harris, DeLange’s father, said. “This is the seventh year. I wouldn’t like for it to be that way, but until the case is solved, we need the people to support us and put the word out. Someone knows something.”
Sheriff Powell advised that the case is not cold, and that the Sheriff’s office is working to bring justice. “We work on this case constantly,” he said. “We have different agencies trying to dig in and help us find whatever break we can. This case is a definite priority for us.”

The Talladega Police Department is investigating a Murder and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s).
On April 12, 2022, at approximately 11:01 p.m., Officers assigned to the Talladega Police Department responded to a shots fired call on Howard Street in Talladega, AL. When officers arrived, they located 19-year-old Jahiem Embry in a vehicle parked near the intersection of Howard Street and Lawson Street. The victim, Jahiem Embry, had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Citizen’s Baptist Medical Center before being flown to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Jahiem Embry was pronounced dead the next day.
Investigators determined that the vehicle, Jahiem was found in, was shot multiple times.

On April 2, 2022, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Officers assigned to the Talladega Police Department responded to a call of shots being fired in the Knoxville Homes area of Talladega, Alabama. When Officers arrived, they located a vehicle parked on Knox Street with a gunshot victim inside. Talladega Fire Medics arrived and determined that the individual was deceased. A separate crime scene was located near the intersection of Scott Street and Wallace Street.
The victim was identified as 14-year-old Jeremiah Curry of Talladega, Alabama. Investigators believe that there were witnesses in the area at the time of the shooting and they are asking that they come forward.

On Saturday, March 12, 2022, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Montgomery Patrol Units and medics responded to the 1700 block of Upper Wetumpka Road in reference to a subject shot. Upon arrival, the victim, black male Carlos Jones, 39 YOA, of Montgomery was found to have sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.
During the investigation, Hispanic male Diego Barrera, age 20, was developed as a suspect. At this time Diego Barrera has not been apprehended.

Montgomery Police Investigators release photos and video of a vehicle of interest. On January 30, 2020, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Montgomery Police and Fire Medics responded to the 1900 block of Hilldale Drive in reference to a subject shot. Contact was made with Jonvonte Goode, 22, of Montgomery, who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. Goode was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced deceased.
No information was provided on the role the vehicle, or its occupants played in the shooting incident.

The family of two Conecuh County men continue their search for answers almost a year after their deaths. Devante Ladalvin Section and Isiah Ryhem Maxwell were murdered on June 2, 2021.
On June 2, 2021, 28-year-old Devante Ladalvin Section and 28- year-old Isiah Ryhem Maxwell were found deceased in a burnt vehicle located in a field on Mt Pisgah Road in Butler County, Alabama. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Mr. Section and Mr. Maxwell had been murdered. Both were last seen alive the night before the vehicle was located.
A reward of $12,500 is being offered for the arrest and conviction of all persons responsible for the death of Devante Ladalvin Section and Isiah Ryhem Maxwell. The State of Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed a proclamation on March 29, 2022, offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) found guilty of his death. Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering a $2,500 reward to be paid within 30 days of arrest.

On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at around 10:00 PM, Sylacauga Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Hubbard Avenue in reference to shots fired in the area. While officers were in the area, they were dispatched to an apartment on Kingwood Drive, in Drew Court Housing Authority.
Officers arrived at the location on Kingwood Drive to find 18-year-old Latarrieus Hawkins, of Talladega, suffering from a gunshot to his chest and arm. Sylacauga Ambulance Service responded and transported Hawkins to UAB hospital for treatment. Hawkins status is unknown at this time.
Later, at approximately 1:00 AM, Sylacauga Investigator Chris Vinson responded to Citizens BMC in Talladega, to a call of a 16-year-old juvenile that had come in with a single gunshot to his right ankle. This victim was the brother of Hawkins that was taken to UAB hospital earlier. The juvenile was treated and released from Citizens BMC.

On 3/12/2022 at approximately 9:00 PM a shooting occurred at the intersection of N. Pickett Street and Tyus Street in Autaugaville Alabama, which resulted in one fatal injury and three non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators with the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office are looking for any Eyewitnesses to this shooting that are willing to come forward and cooperate with this investigation.

On 03/17/2022, at approximately 11:47 p.m., Officers with the Talladega Police Department were dispatched to Stephen J. White Boulevard, in Talladega, AL., on a report of multiple gunshots being fired in the area. When officers arrived, a 2000 Lincoln Navigator was located sitting off the roadway at the edge of the wood line. Officers approached the vehicle and discovered the driver had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and determined the driver deceased.
Talladega Police Investigators identified the driver as 25-year-old Oderius Tre’quan Jemison of Talladega, AL. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in this case. Anyone that was travelling on Stephen J. White Boulevard between 11:43 p.m. and 11:48 p.m., that may have seen something related to this Murder, please contact the Talladega Police Department Investigation Division at 256-362-4508.

The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Death of Nancy Elaine Arnold and seeks the public’s help in gathering information about her activities before her death.
On March 3, 2022, at approximately 10:50 PM, the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call on Cemetery Lane in Childersburg, Alabama. Upon arrival, deputies located the body of an adult white female. The victim was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for identification and cause of death. The victim was identified as Nancy Elaine Arnold, 40, of Sylacauga, Alabama. The cause of death is not being released at this time.

The Goodwater Police Department has officially notified CrimeStoppers of the arrest of fugitive Kytn William Wentzell. Wentzell is no longer wanted by Law Enforcement.
Kytn William Wentzell was taken into custody on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 6:00 a.m. in Talladega, Alabama by members of the Talladega County Drug Task Force. An anonymous tip was sent to the Task Force advising of Wentzell’s location in the 0-99 block of Lower Gate Lane in Childersburg, Alabama. Wentzell was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Talladega County Jail. He is currently being held on numerous felony charges from multiple surrounding Law Enforcement Agencies.
A Rebecca Fuller was also taken into custody with Kytn Wentzell. Rebecca Fuller was with Kytn Wentzell on the day he fled from the Goodwater Police Department.
The anonymous tipster has been notified and will receive their $2,500.00 reward from CrimeStoppers within the next 15 days.

On Thursday, March 3, 2022, Goodwater Police responded to 2081 Coosa County Road 86 to question Kytn William Wentzell in reference to an ongoing investigation. As Officers were approaching Mr. Wentzell, he jumped into a gold-colored S-10 Chevrolet Truck. Kytn Wentzell left the area at a high rate of speed and struck an Officer, causing injury to his shoulder, while fleeing.

The Greenville Police Department is investigating multiple Business Burglaries and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
On 3/09/22 two unknown subjects described as black males wearing masks forcibly entered Mama D’s Marathon Convenience Store located at 2126 Pineapple Highway, Greenville, AL. Once inside they stole cartons of cigarettes and a small amount of cash. Investigators say these same subjects went to the BancorpSouth Bank located at 1028 Fort Dale Road in an attempt to get cash out of the ATM but were unable to gain entry into the machine. They still caused heavy damage to the ATM.

On 3/5/22, the Dallas County Sheriff's Department responded to 4915 Highway 80 East, Lot 37D, in reference to an unresponsive subject. Upon arrival, the victim, who was later identified as 55-year-old Angela Garrett, was found deceased with what appeared to multiple stab wounds.
After discussions with the Garrett family, Dallas County Investigators released photos of the victim, Angela Garrett, in the hopes that someone will share who might have committed this horrendous crime to their loved one.
