On Wednesday, February 11, 2023, at about 10:35 p.m., police and medics responded to the 4900 block of Hatton Avenue in reference to a subject shot. Upon arrival, units found the victim, Yvette Carter, 52, who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. Carter was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Investigators provided an update with new suspect photos to CrimeStoppers on March 21, 2023. Investigators say the three pictured suspects were seen exiting a small black sedan with no tint and factory rims prior to the shooting. The three subjects were wearing hoodies. One subject is seen walking from the car wearing all black with a white or grey hood, black bottoms, and white shoes, while pulling a rifle from his pants, prior to the shooting.
The circumstances surrounding this ongoing homicide are under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.

Montgomery Police Investigators released a photo of an unknown subject wanted for burglary. The offense occurred, Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in the 600 block of Airbase Boulevard, Montgomery, Alabama. Investigators say the suspect forcibly entered this location, stole property, and left the scene in an unknown direction of travel. The Montgomery Police Department and United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised fugitive, Isaiah Gipson, 30, has been located and is now in police custody.
Gipson was originally wanted for capital murder. The original offense occurred on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at about 12:45 a.m., when police and medics responded to the 4900 block of Hatton Avenue, Montgomery, AL, in reference to a subject shot. While on the scene, units located the victim, Fredrikis Heard, 26, who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. Heard was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators say Gipson was identified as the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting of Fredrikis Heard and warrants for Capital Murder were signed.
Investigators credit the media releases by Central Alabama CrimeStoppers for creating public awareness of Gipson, which ultimately led him to turn himself in.

Treundous Davis was serving a 12-year prison sentence for Burglary 1st degree at the Mobile Community Based Facility and Community Work Center located at 2423 North Beltline Highway in Mobile, Alabama. On March 1, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Davis escaped out of a window at the facility.

The Prattville Police Department notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised the suspect involved in a theft and forgery case has been identified.
In February, Prattville Police investigators released a photo of an unknown subject wanted for theft of property 2nd degree and criminal possession of a forged instrument. The offense occurred, Wednesday, December 9, 2022, around 3:54 p.m., at Synovus Bank, located at 2005 Cobbs Ford Road, Prattville, Alabama. Investigators say the pictured suspect, described as a white male, entered the business, cashed a fraudulent check, and left the business in an unknown direction of travel.
Investigators say an anonymous tipster provided information to CrimeStoppers that was crucial in solving this case. The tip not only identified the suspect but also led to criminal charges.
The suspect is not in police custody at this time, however, warrants have been signed.

This year will mark five years since Latricia McDade, 31, a dedicated mother of four, was fatally shot while heading home to iron her children’s clothes, as the McDade family continues searching for answers without avail.
McDade’s family says Latricia was a wonderful and loving mother who worked hard to provide for her four children. Latricia was “the joy of the party” and her friends and family enjoyed spending time with her.
The McDade family is searching for answers and Central Alabama CrimeStoppers stands with the McDade family and is asking anyone that has information regarding this senseless death to please come forward.
Montgomery Police Department says police and medics responded to the shooting on Friday, September 20, 2018, in the 200 block of Alabama River Parkway around 8:21 p.m. Authorities arrived at the scene and located an adult female who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. McDade was transported to Jackson Hospital Emergency Room for treatment. McDade succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased later that night.
In a 2018 Montgomery Advertiser interview, the family said McDade had just left her mother’s and sister’s residence prior to the shooting. McDade was headed home to iron her children’s clothes, prior to the shooting. McDade was in her vehicle when the shooting occurred. The shooting, the family said, was the result of an argument, between at least two unknown people.
The Montgomery Cold Case Task Force has accepted this case and classified it as a cold case in this ongoing investigation.
