Saquan Edwards was captured on August 2, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m. around the area of Lagoon Park in Montgomery, AL. Montgomery Police Personnel and ALEA’s Aviation Unit
located the vehicle Edwards was driving and took Edwards into custody without incident. The victim was also located, unharmed, in Edward’s vehicle.

On 7/31/2022 at approximately 6:34pm, Childersburg Police Department was dispatched to the area of 16th Avenue NW in the Sadie Lee Homes housing community on calls of multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, Officers found 2 people that had been shot. Both victims were treated at the scene by Childersburg Fire and Rescue.
One male was suffering life threatening injuries. He was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham by LifeSaver, where he was later pronounced deceased. He was identified as Johnny Lee Marbury, age 33 of Childersburg. The 2nd victim was identified as Nelson Rashad Seals, age 28 of Childersburg. He was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center and UAB Hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
At the time of the shooting there was a large crowd gathered in the area.

On 07/28/2022, Officers with the Talladega Police Department were dispatched to the 400 block of Brignoli Street on a shots fired call. When they arrived, they located a 30-year-old black male suffering from a single gunshot wound to the hand. They were then directed to a silver Nissan Altima. They discovered a female on the front passenger side suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 19-year-old Kelis Cook of Talladega, AL. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Talladega Police Department is investigating an Assault and Attempted Robbery and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
On 07/23/2022 at approximately 11:30 pm, Officers with the Talladega Police Department responded to 543 Broadway Ave., Benny’s Convenience Store, on an assault and attempted robbery call. When they arrived, they found a 36-year-old black male, inside the store, that had been shot multiple times.
Witnesses told officers that a black male entered the store and fired a shot. The victim then began fighting with the suspect and was shot. A second suspect entered the store and attempted to take a cash machine located near the door. The shooting suspect fled in an older model four door compact car with a white bumper. The second suspect fled on foot.
As of July 26, 2022, CrimeStoppers was notified of the suspects’ vehicle being located and in the possession of the Talladega Police Department.

Investigators say that on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 5:01 p.m., Patrol Units responded to the 2300 block of Eastern Boulevard in reference to a Robbery. Contact was made with the complainant who advised that an unknown black male came into the business and stole property. As the subject was exiting and passing the point of sale, employees tried to tell him to stop. The subject then pushed one of the employees out the way. The unknown subject fled on a bicycle.

The Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department and the Jacksons’ Gap Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred on July 9, 2022, at an event called the “Gap Day” in Jacksons Gap, AL. The shooting incident left four people injured, one of whom, 15 years old, remains in critical condition in Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Three other victims sustained minor injuries.
Tallapoosa County Investigations advise of two arrests. Laderain Marqueis Crayton, 21yoa, and Markellis Keshawn Crayton, 25yoa, both of Dadeville, were arrested and charged with four counts of Assault 1st degree. Both are being held in the Tallapoosa County Jail until a bond hearing.
Investigators continue their search for evidence and witnesses and are now asking for assistance from the public to come forward if they were present (200+ attendees) during the time of the shooting. They are also asking for any photos, video footage, and any information on other suspects involved.

On November 30, 2015, at approximately 8:00 PM, deputies responded to a call of shots fired in the 2800 block of Oakdale Road in Alpine, AL. Upon arrival of law enforcement, Stephen Ryan King was found deceased at the scene and his stepfather, John William Lowe Jr, was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center for medical treatment. John William Lowe, Jr was later pronounced deceased. A witness told investigators that an unknown person walked up and asked Stephen Ryan King and John William Lowe Jr for directions before hearing gunshots.
There is currently $22,500.00 in reward money available to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for these murders. $5,000 is offered from the Alabama Governor’s Office, $5,000 is offered from Ryan King’s father, $5,000 is offered from Sheriff Jimmy Kilgore, $5,000 is offered from Central Alabama CrimeStoppers, and a private donor has come forward to offer an additional $2,500.

Dallas County Investigators released names and photos of two suspects involved in an Armed Robbery. Investigators are actively searching for Lee Anthony Walker Jr. and Quindon Rashad Pernell. A third suspect is already in custody.
On 6/27/2022, the victim took Lee Anthony Walker Jr. to a residence located in Marion Junction, AL. Once they arrived, Lee Walker went into the residence and came out sometime later with Quindon Rashad Pernell and offender #3 (Octavious Blevins). Octavious Blevins placed a gun to the victim's head while Walker and Pernell took unlawful possession of 2 AR-15 rifles, 2 pistols, and one shotgun, from the victim's car. The victim then drove away in his car but took a picture with his phone as he was leaving.
Octavious Blevins, offender #3, has been arrested. Lee Anthony Walker Jr. and Quindon Rashad Pernell have Active Robbery 1st Degree warrants through the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. Walker and Pernell are still at large. Offenders are considered Armed and Dangerous!

On July 6, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m. an anonymous caller reached out to CrimeStoppers advising that they had just had contact with Christina Thurman. CrimeStoppers was able to confirm that the Montgomery Police Department and U.S. Marshals were enroute to their location. The caller stayed on the line keeping Thurman in sight until two Montgomery Patrol Units arrived placing her in custody. Thurman was taken into custody in a parking lot located off I-65 in Hope Hull, Alabama. The caller is being offered a reward from CrimeStoppers.

The female identified as Hayden Danielle Ellerbe is currently in custody in the Coosa County Jail on unrelated charges. Coosa County Sheriff’s Office notified the Wetumpka Police Department of her capture shortly after CrimeStoppers released that she was wanted by the Wetumpka Police Department.

Both suspects were identified through an anonymous CrimeStoppers tip. Both are from Tallapoosa County. Warrants were obtained yesterday afternoon, July 6, 2022, on both subjects.
The male was identified as Christopher Aaron Clardy. Clardy is currently in custody in the Tallapoosa County Jail on unrelated charges.
The female was identified as Hayden Danielle Ellerbe. Ellerbe is still being sought.
