On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at approximately 8:08 p.m., Montgomery Police Patrol units responded to the 5800 Block of Darien Drive regarding a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Michael Woods and was pronounced deceased on the scene. A small silver sedan with a dark-colored hood was captured on video surveillance, leaving the scene after shots were fired. The vehicle caught on video is considered as a vehicle of interest possibly involved in the case. The Montgomery Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in the Murder Investigation of Michael Woods.

On 12/13/2021 the Opelika Police Department began investigating a Theft of Property, Third Degree, which occurred at Best Buy located at 2147 Tiger Town Parkway. Security camera video show suspects described as a black male and a black female, enter the store at approximately 8:00 PM. The male suspect can be seen wearing a black jacket with gray fur around the hood over a blue camouflage hoodie, dark pants, and black and blue Nike shoes. The female suspect can be seen wearing tan hoodie and sweatpants with purple shoes.
The suspects stole several cell phones and a Nest door camera.

On November 24th, 2021, the Prattville Police Department began investigating a theft that occurred in the 2400 block of Cobbs Ford Road. The unknown suspects stole a wallet out of the victim’s purse while she was being distracted and the shopping cart left unattended.
Once the suspects stole the wallet, they then fled the business and began using the credit cards at another business.

The Prattville Police Department has officially notified CrimeStoppers of the arrest of two suspects wanted for their involvement in a Forgery Investigation.
Prattville Investigators advise that multiple tips from CrimeStoppers identified Montgomery residents Brandi McCall and Erykah Shelton as the offenders shown in a November 29th CrimeStoppers segment. Both McCall and Shelton turned themselves over to Law Enforcement and are no longer listed as wanted. McCall and Shelton were charged and served warrants for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 3rd degree.

Both suspects were seen leaving the Prattville branch in a maroon Lincoln town car.
