On the morning of Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 1:00 am, two unknown subjects entered a property located in the 4200 block of Washington Ferry Drive and stole a 2007 white Ford F250 truck. Attached to the truck was an all-black 32’ enclosed trailer.
The truck and trailer were observed traveling southbound on Birmingham Highway. Investigators describe one subject as possibly being a black female wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans and brown boots. The other subject is believed to be a black male wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
These subjects are believed to have stolen at least two other large trailers in the same timeframe.

The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office has officially notified CrimeStoppers of the identification and arrest of a suspect involved in a theft investigation.
Talladega County Investigators have charged 51-year-old Talladega resident James Allen Brown of Receiving Stolen Property 1st degree. Brown was arrested on August 12, 2021 by the Talladega County Sheriff’s Department. He was placed in the Talladega County Detention Facility under a $50,000.00 bond.
In addition to the arrest, Investigators were also able to recover a stolen 14’ utility trailer, a Kubota Z724X Zero Turn Mower, an Echo Weed Trimmer, a Husqvarna Backpack Blower, and a Toro Push Lawn Mower.

The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office has obtained and released a photo of a vehicle involved in a theft investigation.
Investigators were able to retrieve a photo of the suspect vehicle recorded minutes after an unknown person(s) stole a 14’ utility trailer and a Kubota Z724X Zero Turn Mower. The still shot was taken from a convenience store located in the 44000 block of Highway 21 in Munford, AL.
The vehicle was originally described by witnesses as a white pick-up. The released photo captures what appears to be an unknown make/model white SUV.

On August 5, 2021 at approximately 3:00 pm, a utility trailer and one of two lawn mowers were taken from a residence in Munford, AL by suspects driving a white truck (Make/Model unknown).
Investigators released the owner’s photo of the stolen utility trailer and mower. The mower is described as a Kubota Z724X Zero Turn Mower. The utility trailer is 14’ in length, no make or model is available at the time of this release.

The Opelika Police Department has officially notified CrimeStoppers of a suspect identified and charged with Theft of Property.
An anonymous tip through CrimeStoppers identified Opelika resident 50-year-old Zenetta Bandy Smith as the offender involved in a July 11th felony Theft Investigation. Smith was taken into custody by the Opelika Police Department on August 5, 2021. No other details were released.
A cash reward is being offered to the anonymous tipster through CrimeStoppers. The tipster is urged to call 215-stop in order to claim their reward.

The Prattville Police Department is investigating a Theft and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
On June 17th, 2021, two unknown females entered a business located in the 1900 block of Cobbs Ford Road. The two females then began loading miscellaneous merchandise into shopping carts. The suspects were captured on security cameras pushing the carts containing the merchandise out of a rear exit door of the business.
The suspects loaded the merchandise into a newer model Jeep Wrangler, white in color. At the time of the report, the dollar amount for the theft was listed as $792.00 but management believes the dollar amount is much greater. The females were seen arriving and leaving in the Jeep Wrangler.

The Prattville Police Department is investigating two vehicle break-ins.
On Saturday 07/24/2021 between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. two vehicles were broken into at the Club 4 Fitness. Suspects stole personal items and credit cards. Investigators advise that two male suspects were traveling in a gold-colored SUV possibly a Toyota or Lexus.
The suspects first went to a retail store on Cobbs Ford Road and used the victim’s credit cards to make a purchase of a cell phone and phone cards. The suspects then went to Montgomery and made several more purchases with the victim’s credit cards, charging thousands of dollars to the cards.
