The Troy Police Department is currently investigating the armed robbery of a Dollar General retail store.
The Troy Police Department responded to a robbery at the Dollar General in the 7000 block of U.S. 29 North just before 9:00 pm last night (March 25, 2020). Reports indicate that two male suspects entered the store armed with handguns and demanded money from the clerk. The suspects took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register and left the store on foot.
It is believed that the suspects ran to a vehicle that was parked on the side of U.S. Highway 29 just north of the store. The vehicle left travelling northbound on U.S. 29. The clerk was not injured. The Troy Police Department asks anyone with information about the individuals responsible for this crime or anyone travelling through the area between 8:30 and 9:00 pm who may have seen a vehicle parked on the side of the road to contact the Troy Police Department or CrimeStoppers.

The Andalusia Police Department has officially notified CrimeStoppers of the arrest of Brandon Luther Anderson, 35, of Atlanta Ga. and Reginald Eugene Strouzier, 36, also of Atlanta Ga. who are suspected of being responsible for a series of catalytic converter thefts in the Andalusia area.
Reports state that Officer N. Walker with the Andalusia Police Department pulled over a 2019 Jeep Compass near 5th Avenue. The vehicle was first spotted by Chief Paul Hudson driving in the area. Chief Hudson advised officers to be on the lookout for the Jeep Compass that has recently been recorded on surveillance video and that had been shared on a CrimeStoppers release as being a vehicle involved in the theft of catalytic converters from local churches.
After Officer Walker conducted a traffic stop, several used saw blades, gloves, and a catalytic converter was discovered in the suspects’ vehicle. Officers detained the two adult occupants and were subsequently arrested given the substantial evidence collected during the course of the theft investigation.
Brandon Anderson and Reginald Strouzier have been charged with three felony counts of Theft of Property 3rd Degree and three misdemeanor counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree by the Andalusia Police Department. Both are being held on a $51,000 bond.

The pictured subjects are wanted for several Theft Investigations that occurred on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in the 1200 block of West Bypass and the 400 block of Three Notch Street. Investigators advised the theft of several catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles at 2 local churches.
The suspects were traveling in a late model silver Jeep SUV with black wheels.
