On February 5, 2018 at about 3:00 p.m., a male entered a jewelry store located at the Kamakani Ali’i Shopping Center in Kapolei and purchased $34,000 worth of jewelry with a credit card. A few days later, the store owner discovered that the credit card that had been used was fraudulent. Police were notified and through the investigation, the suspect was identified as Jeff Stereo. He was later located and placed under arrest for Theft in the First Degree.

On September 25, 2020 at about 8:05 p.m., the victim was working as a gas attendant in the Iwilei area when he observed a male to be filling gas into a vehicle while the engine was on. The victim told the male to turn the vehicle off but he refused to comply. The victim then told the passenger to shut the vehicle off but that enraged the male. The male then argued with the victim and head butted him causing him to sustain a laceration above his eye. Police were notified and through the investigation, the suspect was identified as Anthony Makahanaloa. He was later located and placed under arrest for Assault in the Second Degree.

On September 7, 2011, the complainant parked his bicycle on the sidewalk area fronting Central Pacific Bank on Keeaumoku Street. Upon exiting the bank he observed a female riding away on his bicycle and gave chase. He was able to catch up to the female and retrieve his bike but the female attempted to flee on another bicycle that was nearby. Police arrived on scene and placed the female, who was identified as Heidi Pacheco, under arrest for Theft in the Second Degree.

On March 19, 2021 at about 10:15 a.m., HPD Officers observed a male that was operating a stolen vehicle in the Pearl City area. Officers learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen on March 18, 2021 from the Kalihi area. The driver attempted to flee but was later located. The driver, who was identified as Gafatasi Lindley, was subsequently placed under arrest for Unauthorized Control of Propelled Vehicle.

The complainant agreed and began to drive her when he had to make a stop along the way. When the complainant exited his vehicle, the female got into the driver’s seat and drove away. The female and the complainant’s vehicle was located the next day in the Diamond Head area. The female, who was identified as Jenna Braden, was subsequently placed under arrest for Unauthorized Control of Propelled Vehicle.

The male then exited the store without making payment for the item. The loss prevention officer stopped the male and later discovered that the same male had been previously trespassed from CVS on February 18, 2015 after stealing a bottle of liquor. Police were notified and placed the male, later identified as Perry Bray, under arrest for Burglary in the Second Degree.

On November 9, 2019 at about 11:10 p.m., a loss prevention officer for the Pearl City Walmart store observed a male to various items then conceal them into his backpack. The male then exited the store without making payment for the items. The loss prevention officer tried to stop the male outside of the store but the male refused to comply and walked away. Police were notified and was able to locate the male nearby. Through the investigation, it was determined that male had been previously convicted of four property crimes. The male, who was identified as Eric Sohn, was subsequently placed under arrest for Habitual Property Crime.

On September 24, 2016 at about 4:30 p.m., a male entered the Money Mart in the Aiea area and handed the teller a check to be cashed. The teller noticed discrepancies on the check and notified the account holder who stated that their check had been stolen. Police were notified but the male left prior to their arrival. Through the investigation, the male was identified as Julian York. He was later located and placed under arrest for Forgery in the Second Degree.

On February 13, 2016 at about 6:20 a.m., a witness heard a female yelling outside of his apartment in the Vineyard Boulevard area. The witness looked outside of his lanai and observed a female shatter the back window of his brother in law’s vehicle. The female then walked up to a juvenile female and demanded her cell phone. When the juvenile refused, the female pushed her down and punched her mouth causing her tooth to break off. The female then fled with the juvenile’s phone. Police were notified and was able to locate the female nearby. The female, who was later identified as Dyanna Hall was subsequently placed under arrest for Criminal Property Damage in the Fourth Degree and Robbery in the Second Degree. When Hall was later transported to the main police station to be processed, officers recovered a glass smoking pipe with residue which she had concealed on her. Hall was then re-arrested for Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree and Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia.

On May 27, 2019 at about 6:30 p.m., the victim was sitting at a bus stop on Lumiaina Street near Paiwa Street. The victim was talking on her cell phone and had her purse lying next to her when an unknown male grabbed the purse and a struggle ensued. The male was able to wrestle the purse away from the victim and started to run away. A passerby saw what had happened and tackled the male. Police were notified and placed the male, later identified as Jose Pompa, under arrest for Theft in the Second Degree.

The valet left the keys to the vehicle in the ignition so that he could later move the vehicle. A short time later, a security guard observed a male trying to start the vehicle. The security guard approached the male at which time the male stated that the vehicle was his. The valet arrived on scene and confirmed that the vehicle did not belong to the male. Police were notified and placed the male, later identified as Joel Caruso, under arrest for Attempted Unauthorized Control of Propelled Vehicle.

On August 11, 2018 at about 3:53 a.m., the victim was approached by a group of males in the Waikiki area. One of the males brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The other male placed the victim in a choke hold and took the victim’s back pack and fled the scene. Police were notified and was able to locate a male nearby in possession of the victim’s backpack. The male, who was later identified as Terrence Legrande, was subsequently placed under arrest for Theft in the Second Degree. He was also arrested for Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree and Promoting a Detrimental Drug in the Third Degree after Officers recovered a bag of suspected cocaine and marijuana from his pant’s pocket

On September 23, 2016 at about 12:50 a.m., the complainant invited a female to his Waikiki apartment for companionship. While in the apartment, the complainant went into the shower and when he was done he discovered that the female had left. The complainant also discovered that various watches and jewelry was missing. The complainant called police and filed a police report for the stolen items. On September 28, 2016, the complainant saw the same female walking in the Waikiki area and notified police. The female, who was later identified as Marsha Hoffman, was subsequently placed under arrest for Theft in the Second Degree.

On December 6, 2014, at about 9:55 p.m., a male entered the Macy’s Ala Moana Store then selected and concealed a Polo jacket, valued at $371.25, into a Macy’s shopping bag that he brought with him. The male then exited the store without making payment for the jacket. Two loss prevention officers confronted the male outside of the store and asked the male to return to the store. The male then used physical force on the loss prevention officers and fled the scene. Through the investigation, the male was identified as Brandon Lambert. He was later located and placed under arrest for Robbery in the Second Degree.

Lambert has five prior convictions and is known to frequent the Honolulu area.

On November 12, 2012 at about 4:26 a.m., Ala Moana Shopping Center security officers observed two males to break into the Tech Armor kiosk and take items. The security officers confronted the two males who then fled on foot. Security officers were able to locate the males nearby and notified police. One of the males who broke into the kiosk was identified as Richard Kelly. He was subsequently placed under arrest for Burglary in the Second Degree
