On April 6, 2013, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a male operating a moped was struck by a van that fled the scene. Police searched the area and were unable to locate the van or driver. On April 7, 2013, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Maae located the vehicle and called the victim and another friend who confronted the driver and struck him several times. Police arrived and identified Maae and placed him under arrest for Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle. Maae has one prior conviction and is known to frequent the Waianae area.

On February 15, 2013, a male entered the Neiman Marcus Store located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center and was observed by a Loss Prevention officer in the Women’s Designer clothing area. The male was seen removing two Dolce Gabbana jackets and placing them into a Burberry shopping bag. The male exited the store without making payment and was stopped and detained for police. Adam Fili Jr. who is wanted for an $11,000 Deferred Acceptance Revocation warrant for violating the terms and conditions of his deferred acceptance plea.

On March 30, 2013, at approximately 3 p.m., three males were walking on Waimano Home Road and were confronted by a male on a bike. The male took a hat from one of the males and rode off. The males continued to their destination and later went to a barbershop where two of the males were confronted by the same male and two of his friends. One of males demanded one of the victim’s wallet while the other two males searched him and took his cellular phone and game player. All three males fled towards a nearby park. Police were called and located three males at Pacheco Park who were positively identified by the victims. One of the males was identified as Fili Jr. and placed under arrest for Robbery in the Second Degree and Theft in the Second Degree.

Fili has two prior convictions and is known to frequent the Ewa Beach area.

On August 3, 2012, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the complainant left her bag on the beach fronting the Moana Surfrider. Upon returning a short while later she found that her been taken and witness provided a description of the male. The witness and complainant went to the Waikiki Substation to make a police report.

While in the station the witness observed the male suspect nearby and confronted him and retrieved the complainant’s items. The male was located by police and identified as Joe. He was placed under arrest for Theft in the Second Degree. HE has nine prior convictions and is known to frequent Honolulu area.

ON July 1, 2011, the complainant parked her van at approximately 10:48 p.m., on Ohekani Loop and Ohekani Place and returned shortly to find a male in the passenger seat searching her glove compartment. She also observed that her purse and black backpack were on the ground outside of the van. She confronted the male who fled on foot towards Halawa Housing. The complainant and her husband gave chase and were able to stop and detain the male on Kohomua Street. Police arrived, positively identified the male as Engichy, and placed him under arrest for Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree.

On November 1, 2015, at approximately 9:20 p.m., the victim got off the bus on North King Street and Liliha Street and noticed a male standing at the bus stop. She continued walking home and was approached from behind by the male who placed a sharp object to her back, demanded her phone, and fled the area. The victim met with her cousin and together they reported it to the security person at Mayor Wright Homes who called the police. While waiting for the police the suspect returned to the scene and was identified by the victim. While speaking to the male the victim observed her phone in his hand. He was identified as Jacob and placed under arrest for Robbery in the Second Degree.

On August 15, 2013, the complainant was reviewing her bank statement due to her purse being stolen from her vehicle, and found that two checks were deposited into an account for Gandall that was not authorized. Police conducted an investigation and found that the checks had been altered and signed by Gandall and deposited into her account. She was located, positively identified, and placed under arrest for Identity Theft in the 2nd Degree, Forgery in the Second Degree, Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information, and Theft in the Second Degree. On December 14, 2013, the resident manager for an apartment building In Waikiki called a tow company to have a van that was parked illegally in their parking lot removed. The tow company arrived and attempted to hook up the van when a make emerged from the back and threatened the tow truck driver. The male then jumped into the tow truck and drove it across the street, threw the keys in the bushes. The driver retrieved his truck and drove back to the van and blocked it in. Police were called and the male was identified as Auriemma who was placed under arrest for

On September 13, 2011, at approximately 4:12 p.m., the victim was followed by two males as he got off the bus and walked home on Aawa Drive. The males attempted to have a conversation with the victim and assaulted him, and took his wallet as he approached his residence. The males fled when a neighbor came out her house due to the commotion. One of the males was located near by and positively identified as Curry. He was placed under arrest for Robbery in the Second Degree.

On August 26, 2013, the victim was seated outside of the 7-1 Store located on Kalakaua Avenue when he observed Curry holding a knife, yelling and threatening him. The two males got in to a physical confrontation and the victim was again threatened with the knife. Police were called and located Curry who was placed under arrest for Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree.

Both males proceeded to the cash register where the backpack was handed over to the first male who exited the store without making payment. The male was stopped outside of the store, identified as Ylasios and placed under arrest for Burglary in the Second Degree due to a prior theft from the store. On March 13, 2013, the complainant was shopping with her husband at the ABC store in Waikiki when the suspect sliced the complainant’s shoulder bag and removed her wallet. The complainant reported the incident and video surveillance was reviewed by officers. Tran was positively identified in the video and later located and placed under arrest for Robbery in the Second Degree. Due to Tran prior trespass warning from the store she was also arrested for Burglary in the Second Degree.

On August 7, 2015, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the complainant was sitting a the bus stop located on Hotel Street and Kaukaulike Street when a male approached and grabbed a chain around his neck and fled on foot. The complainant gave chase but was unable to catch the male. Officers reviewed a surveillance video from a nearby establishment and were able to identify Gargasin from previous encounters. He was located and placed under arrest for Theft in the Second Degree. He is known to frequent the Honolulu area.

On June 14, 2014, at approximately 3:00 a.m., an officer was flagged down by a male reporting that a male was causing a disturbance at a business in Waikiki.
